A direct organizational structure that supports military families when they need an extra hand. As a 501(c)3 tax deductible charity, we ONLY have programs for Active Duty military and their families. There are many emergency situations that members need an extra hand. Many organizations out there support veterans, wounded warriors, disabled and so on - Military Town ONLY provides support and programs for our U.S. Military Members and families. Learn about the misconceptions and struggles of military families - less than 1% of citizens serve in the military at any given time - junior military members make less then $900 per week, before deductions, while paying the same prices as civilian families making much more. So the struggles are the same, but sometimes more acute and rapid. Military Town was founded by an active duty family, living on a military base, with knowledge of the struggles of the military family.
Many non profits are becoming so big that families are falling through the cracks for help. Non profit directors are making over a million dollars now (list included) - Amazing that BEFORE those non profits can help others, they have to raise millions for their own payroll! Military Town is different. Your donations help on a much more intimate level. 95% of every dollar goes to programs, the rest to support operations.
